sensible length for an instrumental; nary a wasted second
I just love this song.....
wow wow !!!!
stick w/ the diatonic
The modern "discovery" of the electric guitar has revolutionized music. Anyone can learn to play it, very few learn to master it. This guy Specter has done just that.
Damn If I didn’t know better I would have said that was Ronnie Earl. This is stellar!
Groove like The Meters! Great playing!
Awesome tone!
A rapaziada conhece. Genial
Realmente,o Bluesman é muito bom
Yes please. This. Yes sir, may I have another. More of this please. Thank you. Is there a way to put this shit into my bloodstream? Oh yeah, forgot to say: This. This please :)
Feel So Bad...RIP Jimmy Johnson
Love this song. Audio is not great here, but the band is cookin. Any recorded versions with the horn section?
Sounds like the Dave Specter Jazz Band to me. And its bloody great!!
What a kool version of a great tune. I first heard Dave when I purchased the "Live In Europe" cd in 1997. That was totally on a whim, I'd never heard anything previously by him. I'm not even sure I'd heard his name but I've been rewarded with years of great music since.
How I miss Dave's Friday evening stretch at the Voodoo Lounge at State & Kinzie. Watching and listening to Dave Specter and the variety of vocalists he's enlisted has always been a trip. Not only a very talented individual but friendly, with time for a question or two and a little conversation. His brand of blues and jazz goes down easily.
Amazing groove
lol
You know.......(the more & more that I listen 2 this great live blues display.....I'm Hearing so many Historic blues players..( that paved the blues road to this present day)...the end result...""it all started...with "the blues$$
Jimmy & Dave rrrrrr at the TOP of my list!!...I do declare$$$
Well......as far as the traditional blues world goes...we all know...that Allman brother's Duane & Gregg have held the blues torch.....on this little ditty...4 sooo long!!(God rest the souls of the Brothers Allman!!)......but this version definitely "pays tribute"..to the magnificent beautiful blues arrangement of this song!!!..& I think Duane & Gregg Allman would Approve of this...GREAT VERSION!!!
This jam scales the highest blues mountain....and then shreds the bark off the trees...on the way down!!!
Dave Spector is an absolutely under appreciated monster of tone and groove. The man has sick feel. These grooves are vicious.
Once while I was on vacation in Chicago, years back, I had a ticket to a Cubs game, but it got rained out. So I went back to the Congress Plaza, where I was staying, and then walked over to Legends. Buddy Guy was there that night, but only to eat dinner and to watch the Black Hawks win the NHL Championship on TV. I forget who was performing, but he asked Guy to come on stage for just one song. Guy improvised a little something for us. It was a great night, despite the ball game getting rained out.
The Sweet Soul Sounds of Country! Great performance Tad Robinson and Dave Specter!!!
This is the type of tune that showcases the connection between Dave and Tad.
Best version ever, out of so many !!!
When My First Wife Quit Me
4:17 “That’s Muddy at the end there” Fantastic! And very sweet. Buddy Guy is a true fusion bluesman, he knows where it came from and he absorbed all of it
Awesome Here,
Blues From The Windy City...
